Look: I am eager to learn stuff I don't know--which requires actively courting and posting smart disagreement.

But as you will understand, I don't like to post things that mischaracterize and are aimed to mislead.

Haiku Wednesday

Connection
I see in the crowd
A woman now who once was
The girl that I loved

At our concert Monday evening I looked into the audience and spotted my lovely wife.

For an instant I saw, not a woman on the cusp of collecting Social Security, but the 15-year-old girl I fell in love with so many years ago.

Join the fun!

Awww, you are so wonderful :) How lucky are you both that you still feel this way after so many years. This was awesome, my friend. *hugs*

That is such a sweet tribute to your wife!

Maybe I'm feeling melancholy today, because until I read your explanation I read it as a woman from your past.

But I guess interpretation is the beauty of peotry.

Thanks, all.

The ambiguity add to the poignancy, I think.
