This should be the best time of life, but . . . (instead, we are become flaming squid huggers)
Look: I am eager to learn stuff I don't know--which requires actively courting and posting smart disagreement.
But as you will understand, I don't like to post things that mischaracterize and are aimed to mislead.

Split down the middle,
Bradford pear no longer bears
weight of autumn leaves.

just stopped by checking out everyone's 6-word Saturday entries this week; that poor tree! looks like it was a beautiful one! I had never heard of a Bradford Pear tree before; when I first read your entry, I thought you were talking about someone behind on their rent (I need to get out more, LOL)
enjoy your day :)

Subscribing to follow you immediately!
Please stop by Casa Hice for a visit when you have time. Would love to get better acquainted!
Poor tree. Maybe fewer leaves to rake, though? ;)
Always sad to lose a tree, but your earlier poem (ode to tree) was excellent.
Aww, your poor stump. At least once it's gone, maybe you can move on. You'll always have the memories...
Thanks for playing 6WS!
LOL! It's amazing how poetic one can sound when reduced to a mere six words. :)
Well as my mom always said after another boyfriend had been rent asundered, "there are plenty of more trees in the ocean"...or something to that effect (and no, this is not Chinese porn-spam sorry).
