Look: I am eager to learn stuff I don't know--which requires actively courting and posting smart disagreement.

But as you will understand, I don't like to post things that mischaracterize and are aimed to mislead.

More Winter sunshine
Casts a morning shadow on
The way to my door.

To honor senior athletes;
But then - those Badgers . . .

Shadow Shot Sunday - 10/31 - Halloween!

The lovely wife and 8-year-old granddaughter Samantha drove by this rather overdone Halloween display the other day.  Click to enlarge, and survey the cast of gruesome characters surrounding the doorway.  Sam's comment was, "If I was a kid, I wouldn't want to go trick or treating there.  Oh, wait . . . I AM a kid!"

Priceless!

But wait -- there's more!

Here is the other side of the driveway.

Yikes!

Knotty weathered wood
Holds a skink with blue tail,
Not a blue-tailed skink!

Per Wikipedia, blue-tailed skinks are native to Australia's Christmas Island, and are not closely related to the Plestiodon skinks found in North America - like this one who would skamper around on the deck of our Vacation Cottage near the Smokey Mountains.  They do look very similar, though.

Here is the view looking from the deck, rather than at it.
