Look: I am eager to learn stuff I don't know--which requires actively courting and posting smart disagreement.

But as you will understand, I don't like to post things that mischaracterize and are aimed to mislead.

Bad Baseball

Since I don't pay any attention to the NL, I had no idea how bad the Rockies are.

Pretty darn bad.

In case the vid won't play, it's from this website: Baseball Prospectus.

I've been to a lot of 9U games this year, and haven't seen anything quite like it.

Which makes the Tiger's Friday night 10th inning melt down that much more pitiful.

The video has been blocked on copyright grounds. It must be really pitiful. I saw your comment at LGM's Greenwald thread. Is that why we're talking baseball here? I was tempted to reply to your comment with: we know who the catcher is.

nanute - good to see you again.

I found a different version, which should be playable. Thanks for the heads-up.

Loomis had a baseball post at the beginning of the season, and I disagreed with him about the Tigers. Turns out they have been worse, and in more ways than either of us anticipated.

The catcher is Rosario, but I don't get your meaning.

Cheers!

Jazz,
The catcher is a reference to gay behavior. Greenwald would be the catcher in this instance.

That is not in my strike zone.

Completely missed the reference.

D'OH!

Don't get the wrong idea. It's not in my strike zone either. I just happen to be a little more "inside baseball" when it comes to these things. lol
