Look: I am eager to learn stuff I don't know--which requires actively courting and posting smart disagreement.

But as you will understand, I don't like to post things that mischaracterize and are aimed to mislead.

Yr not funny, tough guy.

And you're certainly incapable of critical reading, or thinking, as your lame, quasi-hipster posts on Berube's lame AIPAC frat house show.

Capiche, macho man??

I'm not sure what you're referring to to, J - either here, or at Berube's place.

Humor is in the mind of the beholder. Feel free to find me not funny. Different strokes - capiche?

Your "tough guy" and "macho man" accusations have me scratching my head. What are those things supposed to be related to?

Look, there are Moloch-only-knows-how-many blogs available. If you don't like either Berube or me, there is, without a doubt, something more to your liking available.

Come back whenever you like, but if you are going to comment, please engage me in some sort of rational discourse.

Thank you for your support.

Now that I've reread your post in a critical way, I'd also suggest that being quasi-on-topic might make your comments look a little more hip.

Cheers!

Ah-right. You apparently dig Stan Kenton sounds, so, like, I'll try to be hip, tho' I'm not so great at snark, the frat boy's version of hip.

Now SK had a 'bone section eh. Have you checked out the youtubes of Kenton, some from London Hilton circa late 70's I believe. Tasty, though admittedly Stan was probably pretty lushed out: that one tune, Legrande--sympatico. The sort of 70s rock look--big collars, muttonchops, vests, etc--might be offputting but a way dread noir sound. Tight alto work too from some KC wight--sort of a cracker Bird.

Kenton whipped up something that thug Chas Mingus could only dream of....
