What he did over a two year period is phenomenal. Almost unbelievable. Ted Williamsesque. Some would say better.

I don't think you should have major concerns with your team having the pitching staff that can shut any team down, and having the bats that can get hot and go on a tear.

Old Mo is a funny guy, and can reverse his course on a single pitch. Cubs fans - I'm not one - remember Steve Bartman 10 years later as clearly as long time Red Sox fans remember Bill Buckner's play from 25 or so years ago. One pitch.

I don't think Leyland will miss an opportunity to get the team fired up, especially after last year. And anyway, what was MLB thinking when it scheduled an AL NL matchup in the final series ?

From the outside, the Tigers look to have good team chemistry. That's a big factor for me in the MLB world. Bad team chemistry - just look at any team Milton Bradley played on - means the team isn't going anywhere.

The Pirates have good team chemistry. I was concerned that the acquisition of Morneau might upset the apple cart - especially for those that were friends with Gabby Sanchez and Neal Walker - but he's fit right in after a slow start.

I'm hoping for a Tigers / Pirates World Series.
